The Wales Center Volunteer Fire Company is a 100% volunteer agency serving the citizens of the Wales Center Fire Protection District, which is located wholly within the Town of Wales, County of Erie, State of New York. Our District covers approximately thirty-five square miles and serves a population of over two thousand five hundred residents. Our membership consists of Firefighters, Emergency Medical Technicians, Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians, Fire Police Officers, Social Members and Honorary Members. 2010 End of Call Year Report: From November 1, 2009, through October 31, 2010, the fire company responded to 157 emergency calls, including 94 requests for emergency medical services. Our members attended 44 drills and 75 training sessions, logging over 800 hours of instruction and over 600 hours of hands-on exercises. |
